ABOUT THE ALBUM
Holley Rumbarger’s Kintsugi is an evocative tapestry of alternative country, weaving together
raw emotion, vivid storytelling, and the bittersweet beauty of human fragility. Recorded at Skinny
Elephant Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, this deeply personal album is a testament to resilience
and renewal, taking its name from the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold.
Produced by the Executive Producer Tom A. Blanton and Neilson Hubbard, with Dylan
Alldredge at the engineering helm, Kintsugi exudes a polished yet intimate sound. The album’s
sonic textures are elevated by the remarkable talents of Tristan McCoppin on guitar, Kuntal
Patel on drums, and Caleb Hutson on bass, whose contributions bring Holley’s heartfelt lyrics to life.
Through the lens of her experiences with love, loss, and longing in the Deep South, Rumbarger crafts a poignant narrative of heartbreak and healing. Her lyrics, steeped in imagery and emotional honesty, transport listeners to a world of deep heartbreak, sleepless nights, and the quiet strength that comes with rebuilding after a fall.
With its fusion of traditional country roots and alternative influences, Kintsugi stands as a bold
and refreshing voice in modern Americana. It’s a celebration of imperfection, a reminder that even in brokenness, there is beauty.
